Ultraviolet is the part of the  electromagnetic spectrum shown on the left side of the picture below as black because humans cannot see light of such short wavelength (or high frequency). Many animals such as some insets, some reptiles , crocodiles, salamanders, and small birds can see things that reflect this light. UV is a common abbreviation of ultraviolet, mainly used in technical contexts

  1. Hey Ebony,

I’m Daniel from the SLJ Blog commenting team. I’m looking forward to seeing all your amazing blog posts and I hope you’re enjoying your summer too.

It's awesome to see you're jumping in and giving the SLJ activities a go, there are lots of cool activities available to choose from, so feel free to look for the ones that interest you the most and dive in.

Even thought this post has some great information about UV light, This isn't what the tasks asked you to do and you have copied from a website online and can't receive points. We're really looking forward to what YOU have to share and say, so give this task another go or try another one and make sure to read the task carefully and do all the work yourself.

Looking forward to seeing your next post,
See you later in the comments,

    Daniel
